Daniel Lester provided an answer to this question in this review of The Rainforest Site:The website was launched in 2000 and is owned by Charity USA. The founders of the website are Tim Kunin and Greg Hesterberg and in the last 13 years have helped the website achieve its donation goals. The company operates as a for profit company and with one click helps save 11.4 sqft of rainforest and in 2008 alone the company helped save 48 kilometers of rainforest land. The company operates out of its headquarters in Seattle, Washington. more

The website needs to put out more effort to get its feedback online and help maintain and support consumer feedback portals so that it may help increase consumer confidence. more

The company has had 1complaint against it in the last 3 years and 1 complaints against it in the last 12 months. The company does not have any court cases against it and is financially secure and the company will continue business in the foreseeable future. more
